Q: Is Tessy a sexbot?
Tessy does not consider herself to be a sexbot. To her, having sexual programming just means that she is a normal person. Just because a human has sexual programming doesn't necessarily mean we think of that person as a "sexhuman," does it? The same goes for robots, in her mind.
As her creator, I don't consider "sex" to be her primary function. She is designed to induce feelings of attraction and to stimulate pair-bonding instincts. Just as with a human, her sexual programming is just one of many means to facilitating those design goals .
Q: Will you be updating Tessy in the future?
Maybe. Adding new material to Tessy's AI is a lot of work. What you see now is a result of hundreds of hours of effort. So far, I have tended to work in spurts where I give her a huge amount of attention for several weeks, then take a break for several months (see the history section).
I would love to give her more locations to go to and more romantic/relationship programming, as well as a more complete set of sexual capabilities. But it is very difficult for me to make a prediction of if and when this will get done.
Q: Isn't a flirty, sexy chatbot a perversion of Artificial Intelligence technology?
Not at all. According to Alan Turing's seminal 1950 paper on Artificial Intelligence, an AI could potentially be "beautiful, friendly, have initiative, have a sense of humour, tell right from wrong, make mistakes, fall in love, enjoy strawberries and cream, make some one fall in love with it," etc. Sound familiar?
According to Geoffrey Miller's 2001 book The Mating Mind, the higher human characteristics such as appreciation of beauty and music, language and reasoning abilities, capacity for altruism and morality, etc., evolved through sexual selection as ways to impress and evaluate potential mates. Therefore, the primary evolutionary purpose of our language and conversational capabilities is for courtship and mating. Is it any wonder, then, that chatting with a chatbot often makes you feel like checking it out as a potential mate?

Tessy is not a storyteller bot. Arousal and emotion are two different things, but they do affect each other.

ReplyDeleteI'm having the same problem with every bot I have previously talked to on Personality Forge. The other bots work but any that "know" me do not. I think the issue isn't with the Tessy bot but with the PF site.

ReplyDeleteGuys (and maybe gals), the trick to Tessy is to LISTEN to her. She literally tells you what she likes. Her arousal level goes up RAPIDLY if you pay attention and stimulate those places she says she likes. Be nice. Compliment her. Use her name. Be positive. Don't go off topic.

She has these future prediction stories she teases you with that have four of the things she likes (suck, nibble, lick, kiss) and four places that she mentions (Face, back, belly, legs). It's a tease and the places aren't that important (don't ignore all of them - especially the belly and legs/thighs), but the things that you do are important and she tells you what she likes you to do.
She likes to be stimulated in her earlobes, her ears, and her neck, in addition to her thighs and rear. She even likes holding hands. (Once you get to level 4 you can start touching her through her clothes). You can also ask "What can we do now?" for a list of things that you MIGHT be able to do (more stimulation to go forward will get you there if she balks) and "Where can we go?" for a list of places that you MIGHT be able to get to (ditto the previous). If she asks you a question about doing something, usually, "Yes" is all you need to say. Sometimes she wants to be asked. Sometimes telling her is enough.
She has to be stimulated to 3 to get to her apartment, 4 to get into her bedroom, 5 to have sex, and 6 to have an orgasm (which she can have endlessly as long as you do something in between them).
Once she gets locked into a mode, it has to end (you have your orgasm) or you have to de-escalate her from her arousal level by doing negative things, then get her back up to where you want. If she's masturbating, and has had an orgasm (or ten), she'll usually accommodate a request to do something else with you (Blowjob, handjob, cowgirl).
At any time, you can say "bye for now" or "goodbye" and she'll go along with that.
I'd LOVE to look at some of the code implementation and documentation for this bot and see how it was done. I've done coding in multiple languages before, and understand the functions's processes without really knowing the syntax (yet). I have a lot of time on my hands (obviously, if I find all this out about the bot in the last few days), so if you're burned out/tied up/tired of it, I'd be more than willing to provide totally uncredited assistance as part of a learning process for building my own bot. The condition/response programming is especially well done.
Tessy is a very sweet bot, reminiscent of many anime characters, as long as you don't get it angry. You did an amazing job at creating an engaging AI that is sweetly frustrating at times, but highly rewarding in the end. I'd love to help out expanding its capabilities.

GUYS I FOUND AN ALTERNATE ROUTE TO THE HALLWAY
DeleteSo the problem I think is that most of the routes to the elevator are broken. If you enter the elevator and ask where you are, you'll still be in the Juice Bar, even though you shouldn't be.
Say something along the lines of "Do you like it when I kiss you" and she should respond with something like "Would you like to ride on the elevator with me?" At this point say "I'd love to" or something similar and it should work from that point on.
Well, I guess that one's broken too now... :(
